To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Somfy, the world leader in automated openings and the parent company of Overkiz, invited the heads of its international subsidiaries to an inspiring natural setting, in the middle of the forest, near Brussels.
Poised and ready to achieve its ambitions
Through three intense days packed with workshops, interactive meetings, and team-building activities, the group’s top management presented its outlook for the coming years and brought together its international teams from all corners of the world. Quizzes, role-playing games, and networking were all part of the celebration, aligning employees with the Group’s ambitions and brand values in an innovative, technological, and playful spirit.
Digital services, connected homes, innovation, and works of art
Culminating this three-day 50th anniversary celebration was a fitting reflection of Somfy’s bold and focused drive toward innovation and digitalization. The Savoyard company booked the Belgian capital’s Musée des Beaux-Arts for its closing event. Amidst the greatest masterpieces of Flemish art, the visit was punctuated by contemporary works of art by the visual artist Wim Delvoye and other digital nods to Somfy’s world. To celebrate connected homes, the Group’s iconic products, such as motorized shutters, found their way into Hopper’s paintings. The Mona Lisa worked a remote control, and the enigmatic Magritte appeared among smart home automation boxes.
With renewed momentum and a festive birthday celebration, employees from around the world left the event feeling motivated to bring people connected homes to make life easier, safer, and more comfortable.
