Lapland Trophy 10-14 March 2023 – Overkiz supports a dynamic duo

February 27, 2023 / NEWS

Driven by a shared passion and perseverance to surmount personal and physical challenges, it’s no wonder that Annecy-based Overkiz is sponsoring the “Team Givrée” of Chloé Fournier and Caroline Macry at the Lapland Trophy 2023 competition!

The first all-women polar trek

The Lapland Trophy is more than just a competition; it’s a women-focused adventure at the edge of the polar circle, with participants teaming up to raise money for causes close to their hearts. “Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits!” This is their rallying cry as the competitors begin their three-day journey to the North Pole. The participants’ mental and physical endurance are put to the test in a white paradise rife with surprises and challenges.

Teams snowshoe across a trail forming a 15-km loop through the Finnish forest. The second day is even more challenging, with participants cycling 13 kilometers on fat bikes and then participating in a cross-country skiing relay before finishing with the stunning “Icemad” obstacle course. Feet in the powder, head in the Northern Lights… doesn’t it make you dream?! Us too.

Overkiz: proud sponsor of “Team Givrée”

This dynamic duo, comprised of Chloé Fournier of Paris and Caroline Macry of Lyon, is committed, contented, and perhaps a bit crazy (their words, not ours!), all to win over the Overkiz team. The two friends and moms in their 30s are taking a break from their jobs as a Montessori school founder and sales director in search of wide open spaces and beautiful adventures.

“A fantastic, rewarding, and… somewhat crazy human experience!” Chloé & Caroline

A black belt in judo, Chloé is also an avid runner and yoga enthusiast. Ranked 15/5 in tennis, Caroline indulges in the joys of via ferrata and canyoning. The pair has what it takes to finish among the three victorious teams and win €500 for their chosen charity, Vivre Comme Avant.

In support of “Vivre Comme Avant” to fight breast cancer

The values of the Lapland Trophy, promoting charities like Vivre Comme Avant, speak to us and inspire us to action through respect, benevolence, hope, and perseverance. Founded in 1975 and run entirely by volunteers, Vivre Comme Avant works to empower individuals by educating caregivers, encouraging participation in disease prevention initiatives, and providing women with personal and emotional support. Together, buoyed by the encouragement of those who have been through similar experiences, they forge ahead to build life experiences.

In this cooperative spirit and humanitarianism, Team Givrée and Overkiz are completely in sync.
