We now offer our customers a new Zigbee 3.0 USB dongle compatible and sold with our Kizbox® home automation gateway, capable of controlling a large number of connected devices with the protocol, including lights, sensors, heating systems, and controllers from brands like Danfoss, Leedarson, Legrand, Osram, Philips Hue, Schneider, and many more.

What the heck is Zigbee 3.0?

Zigbee 3.0 is a certified standard radio protocol that requires very little energy to make objects communicate with each other. Reliable, versatile, and scalable, it ensures interoperability between multiple devices and adds versatility for users and developers. This standard is supported by Zigbee Alliance, a leader in the connected lighting sector and comprised of 400 members from the industrial sector, including Overkiz.

 

Kizbox® and the Zigbee 3.0 USB dongle: Instructions

Ideal for smart home projects and Zigbee 3.0 certified, the Overkiz Kizbox® is a multiprotocol gateway that is both customizable and scalable. It supports two native radio protocols simultaneously: io-homecontrol and RTS. With its three USB ports, it lets you easily connect many smart devices and add them over time, using the EnOcean, Z-Wave, Wifi/Bluetooth®, and Zigbee 3.0 protocols. The new Zigbee 3.0 USB dongle, sold by Overkiz, simply plugs into the back of the Kizbox®.
